February 2008 we decided to book a family holiday to New Zealand and Australia for Christmas 2008.  Great I thought, that gives me nine months to tone up and lose some weight that I had slowly been gaining over the last three years.  After joining the local gym I was determined that was how I was going to achieve my goal,well it wasn’t as easy as that!! Finding the motivation and confidence to go to new classes where I didn’t know anyone and to go to the gym on my own was not easy. April came and I was still the same shape and weight and I was feeling lower and lower.
 
This carried on over the summer holidays and before I knew it our trip was approaching at break neck speed and still I hadn’t done anything about my goal.  A friend who I hadn’t seen for ages asked me to dinner one night and I was so shocked at her amazing appearance I couldn’t help staring! Eventually, I asked her what her secret was and her response was two words, Personal Trainer!!
 
In October  I started training with Angela, my goal was to lose some weight, but more importantly, tone up.  Our holiday was at the beginning of December so I only had eight weeks. My first session confirmed what I already knew, my fitness levels were terrible and I ached like mad but I felt amazing! Four weeks into my training, my fitness levels had gone up one stage, my weight was coming off slowly and to top it all I had lost an amazing 9 inches!
 
That was it, I was feeling great, my confidence went up, compliments from friends  and family helped and I was fitting into clothes I would never normally of bought. At the end of my eight weeks with Angela, I had dropped 3% fat, lost over half a stone and lost 12 inches (four of those off my chest)!! I sat on that aeroplane like a Cheshire cat, telling myself well done.
 
We had an amazing holiday, mainly as I could keep up with the children and their hair-raising activities because of my increased fitness levels and weight loss. When we got back and I had another session to my amazement I had lost another couple of pounds!
 
Thank you Angela for giving me back my confidence and knocking at least 5 years off my age!!

My big love is golf and as time had started to catch up with me my drive distances were getting shorter and my body shape was not to good either.
